Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for the weekend 1st shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Thursday–Sunday) supporting missiles, harnesses and chassis for Targets, Hypersonic and Mars vehicles.

You will lead the shop floor team, write detailed manufacturing work instructions and SOPs, and coordinate with engineering to meet safety, quality, and cost commitments. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain an Interim SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or internship/coursework demonstrating practical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work weekend shift on a 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST Thursday through Sunday.
• Experience collaborating with a multi-functional team.
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead shop floor activities to meet safety, quality, cost, schedule, and program requirements.
• Provide shop floor support, maintain manufacturing plans, tooling requirements, and coordinate changes in build processes.
