Job summary

AMAX, located in Fremont, CA, seeks a Business Systems Analyst to analyze existing systems and processes, identify improvements, and drive automation across manufacturing and operations. You will gather requirements, collaborate with global development teams, and design scalable solutions that maximize usability while reducing complexity.

The role focuses on documentation, user training, and supporting dashboards and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise business systems such as ERP, MES, CRM, and PLM platforms.
• Experience with business analysis, requirements gathering, and process documentation.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and system implementation practices.
• Experience gathering and analyzing user feedback, business requirements, and operational data.
• Experience documenting user stories, workflows, and process flow diagrams.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including functional, performance, security, and usability testing.
• Experience in manufacturing or operations environments is preferred.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal) skills, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing systems, business processes, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
• Recommend scalable solutions to improve operational efficiency in AMAX.
• Participate in user requirements sessions to identify process improvement opportunities and technical solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements, including future-state processes.
• Collaborate with onsite and overseas development teams to design and implement solutions.
• Design solutions that maximize usability while minimizing complexity and customization.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Provide ongoing system support by troubleshooting user issues and coordinating with IT teams.
• Train and support end users on new or updated systems and processes.
• Manage projects related to system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and process improvement.
• Support internal business systems, reporting, dashboards, and automation initiatives.
• Evaluate and improve workflows related to sales, purchasing, production, project management, and operations.
• Drive standardization and scalability across business processes and systems.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to support digital transformation.
