• Ordained Minister or eligible for ordination by MLBC

• Adaptable to varying situations
• Desirable qualities of cooperation, dependability, self-motivated, punctual and obviously interested in the student programs of MLBC
• High sense of professional ethics
• Takes personal pride in position, seeking to encourage and train others to assist in this significant facet of the church’s total ministry
• Demonstrate modesty in dress
• Be faithful to set a good example in giving Tithes and offerings

Responsibilities

• Oversee the MLBC programs for students.
• Plan church services which demonstrate learning and activities of student programs.
• Plan and coordinate outside activities for students.
• Spiritual development of students through parents/children activities and church services.
• Promotion of special events and outreach opportunities for students to invite friends.
• Education from a Christian perspective on significant issues.
• Student visitation ministry to visit students in home, school, and other settings.
• Assist with Vacation Bible School administration.
• In the Pastor’s absence: pulpit supply and hospital visitation.
• Overseeing mission education for students and promotion of offerings.
• Work with Finance Committee to prepare annual budget for Students programs.

Specific Job Duties

• Oversee the MLBC programs for students
  • Plan church services which demonstrate learning and activities of student programs
• Plan and coordinate outside activities for students
  • Spiritual activities and other programs such as concerts, students’ camps during summer, etc.
  • Provide outreach opportunity for students to have fun and invite friends to fellowship in a Christian setting
• Spiritual development of students through
  • Parents/ children activities
  • Opportunities to participate in church services
  • Experiences on student level that allows them to understand the Plan of Salvation and have the opportunity to respond to the Gospel through invitation.
  • Education from a Christian perspective on significant issues such as homosexuality, promiscuity, molestation, creation, abortion, etc.
• Student visitation ministry
  • Visit students in their settings including home, school, ball games, etc.
  • Promotion of special events
• Assist with administration of Vacation Bible School
• In the Pastor’s absence
  • Pulpit supply
  • Hospital visitation
• Overseeing the mission education for students
  • Aid with WMU/Brotherhood, RAs, GA’s, Acteens and Mission Friends.
  • Promote an understanding of church mission offerings.
  • Conduct mission awareness through Sunday School and Wednesday night activities.
• Work with Finance Committee to prepare annual budget for Students programs.
• Ensure that Bible study is provided for students Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Curriculum and other resources to be used must be approved by Pastor.
• Other duties and responsibility as required or needed.
