Job summary

Bekaert in the United States seeks a Technical Service Manager for Mining to be the technical backbone of the commercial team. You bring deep field expertise and ensure customers receive top-tier support while advancing Rope 360 offerings.

You will lead inspections, quality investigations, and deployment of advanced services across North America, train customers, and collaborate with engineering and sales to tailor solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with draglines, rope shovels, drilling rigs or similar heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of wire rope construction, inspection standards OSHA 1926.1413, ISO 4309, ASME B30 and discard criteria.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (MRT, VisionTek, ultrasonic) preferred.
• Proven ability to investigate quality claims and deliver root cause analysis reports.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% across North America.
• Experience in Mining or Oil & Gas markets.
• Experience in steel ropes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to the sales team in the field for Mining and Oil & Gas segments.
• Lead investigations and resolution of quality claims with field data and reports.
• Perform on-site rope inspections and deliver actionable maintenance recommendations.
• Lead innovation and deployment of Ropes 360 services in North America.
• Develop and deliver internal and external training programs.
• Collaborate with segment managers, regional sales, and engineering teams.
• Produce technical publications and white papers for market segments.
• Provide input on rope selection, life calculations, and application engineering.
