Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation in the United States is seeking a hands-on Sampling Technician to perform high-quality assay sampling and ensure timely delivery of samples from active operations. This on-site role requires attention to safety, reliability, and adherence to Kinross values while supporting the Tech Services team.

You will use shovel-based sampling and mobile equipment, work outdoors in all weather, and coordinate with Engineering Specialists to maintain quality standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to identify work without instruction
• General understanding of mining operations and safety
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Experience working safely near moving equipment preferred
• Experience driving on pit ramps preferred
• Fit to wear a respirator and work outdoors in all weather
• Able to shovel and lift sample bags up to 20 pounds
• Proficient with PC basics (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States full-time
• Requires valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Report to Tech Services Department to ensure sampling quality standards.
• Sampling includes shovel and mobile equipment.
• Follow all company policies including safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
• Meet or exceed performance expectations set by management.
• Exercise discretion and judgment in job performance.
• Work without risk to self and others.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
• Assist department personnel in performing duties.
• Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
