Martin Marietta is seeking a Safety Specialist in the Kansas City region. The Safety Representative will handle daily safety and health tasks to support aggregate mining compliance.

You will conduct OSHA and MSHA site audits, provide training, and communicate injury trends and root causes to operations groups; participate in Guardian Angel safety culture initiatives. The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 2+ years of related experience, and a valid US driver's license; work is on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Foster a safety culture using the Guardian Angel and Wingman concepts as core values.
• Provide safety orientation training for new hires.
• Conduct plant and mobile equipment safety audits for MSHA/OSHA/DOT; ensure corrective actions are communicated and followed up.
• Prepare training materials for monthly safety meetings; create posters, memos, digital signage, and toolbox talks.
• Assist with investigating incidents/near-misses; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Participate in annual mobile van testing and industrial hygiene sampling; follow up actions.
