Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. seeks a Safety Supervisor to join the Kansas City Region. The role collaborates with operations and support staff to promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliant practices across sites.

You will lead a team of safety professionals, oversee industrial hygiene activities, and drive safety initiatives, with regular travel to field sites as needed. Candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree, 4+ years of related experience, and a valid US driver’s license; a strong

Responsibilities

• Cultivates a safety culture using Guardian Angel and Wingman concepts as core safety values.
• Leads a team of safety support administrators to implement safety initiatives.
• Manages team’s project cost/change controls, project budgets and accounting records; coordinates schedules and invoices.
• Coordinates industrial hygiene activities with TPAs and monitors sampling strategy.
• Ensures timely and accurate regulatory submissions including MSHA, OSHA logs/reports, FMCSA.
• Oversees annual mobile van testing and industrial hygiene sampling with corrective actions as needed.

Job description

Martin Marietta is looking for a Safety Supervisor to join our Kansas City Region. They will work closely with operational and support staff to promote a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously cultivates a safety culture characterized by empowerment and individual responsibility using the Guardian Angel and Wingman concepts as the core safety values.
• Leads a team of safety support administrators to implement Safety initiatives.
• Manages team’s project cost/change controls, project budget and accounting records and coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices,
• Works closely with TPAs to coordinate industrial hygiene activities and any other monitoring programs as necessary in support of MM’s sampling strategy.
• Ensures that all regulatory agency submissions are accurately and timely filed including but not limited to MSHA, OSHA Logs/reports, FMCSA.
• Manage annual mobile van testing and industrial hygiene sampling and follow-up with any necessary corrective action.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work. Occasional travel will be required.
