Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Safford, AZ seeks a skilled Maintenance Planner to support field maintenance planning and scheduling in a 24/7 operation. You will coordinate with supervisors, ensure readiness of materials, and maintain SAP records to support production uptime.

The role requires 4 years in field maintenance or planning, with a technical degree as an option. The compensation ranges from $65,000 to $90,000 per year, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 4 years field maintenance experience in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations; OR 4 years related field maintenance experience including 2 years planning experience; OR 4 years of planning experience in field maintenance.
• Associates in technical field with 2 years related experience in field maintenance or 2 years planning experience.
• Bachelor's degree in technical field with 1 year related experience or 1 year planning experience.
• General knowledge of Maintenance Planning; basic understanding of Mining/Process Equipment; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the area Supervisor in job preparation, execution and follow up per Freeport-McMoRan standards; including time spent in the field to ensure readiness and availability of materials and equipment resources.
• Under ERS guidance, interact with the Supervisor to establish and monitor planned schedules for assigned activities; participate in planning meetings; review, prioritize and schedule work orders.
• Responsible for Runtime Forecasting process execution and outcomes in the assigned area.
• Develop, monitor and adjust schedules for assigned activities; maintain these schedules in the management system (SAP).
• Execute, establish and maintain a history for all assigned activities in the SAP management system.
• Engage with onsite Global Supply Chain to control warehouse minimum/maximum levels and storage conditions of materials and parts.
• Support execution of contracts by preparing scopes of work; interface with Global Supply Chain and vendors for services and equipment.
• Collaborate with senior Planners and first-line supervisors for planned major production shutdowns.
• Maintain data integrity in SAP to achieve planning and scheduling objectives.
• Provide data to support maintenance budgets and weekly forecasts; generate regular and ad hoc site reports.
