Job summary

Martin Marietta is offering a Production Internship designed to provide a hands-on 10-week experience in Aggregates operations. You will work with plant leadership in an immersive program combining operational training, safety management, and production support within an active mining environment.

You will participate in safety inspections, learn production planning, and support teams to maintain throughput and product quality, while developing leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• No work experience required; internship is preferred or a combination of internship and work experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety culture and environmental compliance.
• Observe and communicate safety concerns and operational risks.
• Support MSHA compliance and environmental regulations.
• Assist with inspections, safety audits, corrective actions, and incident prevention.
• Learn all stages of aggregate production from extraction to shipment.
• Understand quarry planning, production scheduling, and material flow management.
• Monitor plant performance and production targets under supervision.
• Assist production teams in maintaining throughput and quality.
• Develop skills in communication, problem solving, and teamwork.
