Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer in Henderson, NV to oversee mechanical discipline on mining and industrial projects, lead a multidisciplinary team, and drive client engagement and business development.

You will mentor staff, ensure alignment with North American codes, review vendor docs, and contribute to bids and project execution strategies while supporting growth of the mechanical group.

Qualifications

• Mining experience and U.S. PE qualifications or reciprocity.
• Ability to build client relationships and support project pursuits.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of North American codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as Mechanical Discipline Lead on medium to large mining and industrial projects.
• Support business development activities through technical proposals and client presentations.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Contribute to growth and strategic development of the Mechanical Department, including staffing and succession planning.
• Oversee discipline deliverables and ensure coordination with process, structural, and electrical teams.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and technicians and review design calculations and cost estimates.
