Job summary

HireReady Partners seeks a Mining Mechanical Engineer for its mine operation in upstate New York, within an easy drive of the Thousand Islands and Adirondack region. The role emphasizes planning, power, water, ventilation, and drainage systems for surface and underground operations.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in mining or a related field, with a degree in engineering and experience with Deswik or Ventsim. Strong report writing and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of mining or industrial experience.
• Degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Experience with Deswik and/or Ventsim preferred.
• Technical report writing skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Plan short-, mid-, and long-range power, water, ventilation, compressed air, and drainage systems.
• Manage high-voltage electrical networks, substations, and backup generators for surface and underground equipment.
• Design underground pumping networks to remove and recycle water from groundwater and production sources.
• Oversee ventilation fans and networks and perform monthly ventilation surveys.
• Manage pipelines that deliver compressed air for pneumatic tools and drilling.
• Collaborate with all departments and be adaptable to other duties as assigned.
