Job summary

Nordmin Engineering seeks a Mechanical Designer to join the Salt Lake Mechanical Engineering group. You will design mechanical systems, create 3‑D models, and draft detailed drawings for mining projects.

A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn are essential as you contribute to project success. Responsibilities include layout of equipment and piping, collaboration with engineers, and generating accurate drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Inventor.

Qualifications

• Minimum post-secondary diploma in mechanical engineering, drafting, architecture or equivalent.
• Experience with Revit/BIM modeling and detailed drawing creation using Revit.
• Experience with Navisworks and developing animations for presentations (asset).
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Committed to continual improvement and learning.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems, create 3‑D models, and draft detailed engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers to layout mechanical equipment, piping, and structural supports.
• Work independently or as part of a team with a focus on accuracy and safety.
• Utilize Autodesk tools to produce clear, production-ready drawings and animations.
