  • Recruiting a future full-time U.S. Mining Leader.
  • Identifying technical capability gaps and providing recommendations.
  • Increasing utilization of existing operational resources.
  • Within 12 to 24 months, support: $5M-$10M pipeline and $1M-$3M incremental revenue; expand cross-selling; broaden offerings.

A Day in the Life

Reporting To The Global Mining Sector Lead, You Will Be Working To Grow Onterris Position In The U.S. Market, Introducing New Opportunities And Building a Sustainable Work Flow Across Segments. As The Mining Sector Lead For The U.S., You Will Translate Market Trends (within And Across All Business Lines) Into Client Development Actions That Position Onterris As An Industry Leader And Fuel Our Continued Growth. You Will Be Recognized As a Collaborative Leader Internally And Externally, Driving Towards a Unified Go‑to‑market Strategy Enabling Us To Deliver Compelling Offerings To Our Clients. This Includes

  • Being a dedicated face of Onterris in the U.S. mining market with regional coverage across regions such as Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Idaho, and Utah
  • Coordination between U.S., Canadian, and Australian mining teams
  • Strategic leadership for mining pursuits and account development
  • Act as Key Client Leader (KCL) as part of Onterris Key Client Program (KCP)
  • Supervise and assist KCLs within the sector on account plans and strategy
  • Identify additional accounts for inclusion in the KCP
  • Develop a deep understanding of client’s needs in the Sector through discovery calls, interviews and immersing yourself into their industry
  • Create a pipeline of future KCP clients by identifying and incubating high-growth accounts
  • Assist Lines of Business (LOB) and KCLs in managing existing contract processes for renewals and obtaining new customer MSAs within the sector
  • Collaborate across our service lines to develop comprehensive go‑to‑market solutions and an integrated value proposition tailored to resonate with clients within the sector
  • Foster a trusting and collaborative relationship across divisional sales teams and encourage strong inter‑LOB communication, ensuring teams stay connected and informed on sector initiatives and opportunities
  • Stay informed with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory developments related to the mining sector
  • Act as an expert and trusted advisor to clients in the sector
Key Objectives Of The Role Include

  • Within 12 to 24 months, this role should be able to support:
    • $5M to $10M qualified opportunity pipeline
    • $1M to $3M in incremental annual mining revenue
    • Increased cross‑selling between international mining clients
    • Expansion of technical service offerings
Your Expertise And Skills
  • 15+ years of experience in the environmental industry, with a track record of success in managing large key accounts within a consulting setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or related technical field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead in a matrixed environment and operate as a trusted client advisor
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, with a passion for developing talent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate our value proposition across teams, clients and stakeholders
  • Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
  • Proficiency in strategic account planning, sales forecasting, and CRM management, particularly in Salesforce
  • A proactive, growth‑oriented mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo and offer innovative solutions
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically, up to 25%
