Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance of fixed and mobile mining equipment. You will oversee shop operations, plan and schedule work, coach staff, and drive reliability with a focus on safety and cost efficiency.

You will directly supervise technicians and crews on the shop floor and in the field, champion safety programs, and optimize asset performance to minimize downtime in a high-demand mining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Journeyman’s certificate or engineering degree preferred.
• SMRP Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Significant supervisory/leadership experience (minimum 5–7 years) in maintenance operations, including direct hands-on supervision of maintenance crews, preferably in mining, heavy equipment, or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude in planning, scheduling, and work management processes.
• Proven track record of leading teams in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Safety, Health, Environmental Compliance & Leadership across mining operations.
• Develop and champion a safe working environment through full compliance with Health & Safety programs.
• Embed safety leadership and accountability across the maintenance team and work sites.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and crews on shop floor and in the field.
• Deliver leadership, coaching, and performance management to build a high-performance maintenance culture.
• Manage staffing, vacation, and overtime to meet production targets while controlling costs.
