Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Light Vehicle Mechanic in the Goldstrike Surface Maintenance department. You will inspect, repair, and maintain a diverse light vehicle fleet, troubleshoot electronic engine controls, and ensure safe, reliable operation in a dynamic mining environment.

The role requires basic hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, physical stamina, and the ability to work a rotating night/day schedule while upholding high housekeeping and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of maintenance experience on mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to work safely and with minimal supervision.
• Effective written and verbal communication with a wide range of people.
• Experience repairing light vehicles and support equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in all weather conditions.
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Proven safe work record with courageous leadership values.
• Adaptability to a growing, fast-paced environment focused on safety and production.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain a diverse light vehicle fleet.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic engine controls.
• Diagnose and repair engine failures as needed.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical issues as needed.
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure availability and safe operation of light vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain shop areas, tooling and service vehicles for a clean, safe environment.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and participate in hazard identification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
