Candidates should have lab experience, strong math and analytical skills, and a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years mine or commercial laboratory experience.
• Experience with computers and software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must possess intermediate math skills for calculations.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Able to speak, comprehend, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees are working in compliance with Pinto Valley Mine and MSHA safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure all employees and contractors are working in compliance with Pinto Valley Mine SOPs.
• Ensure employees/contractors are certified to perform assigned tasks.
• Promote a safe work culture for employees and contractors.
• Properly prepare, dry, weigh, and analyze samples and record results.
• Safely store and handle chemicals and reagents.
• Apply mathematical principles including weighted and simple averages and multi-step calculations.
• Prioritize work to meet lab deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Support Capstone’s Vision and Values: Safety, Accountability, Caring, and Excellence.
• Responsible for other tasks as required.
