Job summary

Centerra Gold seeks an IT Specialist for the Goldfield District Project in Goldfield, Nevada. You will administer and support GEM Enterprise IT systems, install hardware/software, troubleshoot issues, and safeguard data security on an on-site basis.

Reporting to the Director of Cloud Integration & Azure Applications, you will manage Hyper-V/VMware/Nutanix clusters, network infrastructure, backups, system documentation, and security monitoring while collaborating with Global IT teams to maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or IT-related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in similar role.
• Strong analytical, communication, and team-building skills.
• Certification in relevant technologies is an asset.
• Proficient in network/server administration, enterprise virtualization, database management, data analytics and M365 services.
• Proven IT user support experience.
• Mining industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage and maintain on-premises Hyper-V/VMWare/Nutanix HA cluster and Windows Server infrastructure., including enterprise storage, database servers, AD objects, and mobile devices.
• Administer, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance complex network infrastructure, including Firewalls, Cisco switches, wireless access points, internet connectivity, telephony systems, and radio communication infrastructure.
• Provide support to Mine site end users, including user onboarding/offboarding and ensuring IT service requests are addressed promptly.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, workstations, and other end-user hardware and peripherals.
• Collaborate with Global Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams to ensure policy compliance and drive improvements.
• Maintain backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems; provide support for IT services.
• Create and update IT documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, asset inventory and knowledge articles.
• Respond to security monitoring alerts for Antivirus, Malware, Firewall, AD, SIEM, and Cloud services.
• Other related tasks as assigned.
