Job summary

Ledgent Technology is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support core technology infrastructure for mining operations. The role is fully onsite in Las Vegas, NV with weekly travel to Beatty, NV, and involves hands-on management of networks, servers, storage, and IT/OT integration on rugged mine sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Infrastructure Engineering, Network Engineering, or Systems Administration experience.
• Mining IT/OT infrastructure experience on active mine sites (open-pit or underground).
• Strong proficiency with Cisco/Aruba networking, industrial switching, firewall management, virtualization, and Windows/Linux server administration.
• Willingness to travel to remote locations (1x per week to Beatty, NV) and compliance with MSHA safety standards.
• Able to work from the Las Vegas, NV office with readiness for field deployment.

Responsibilities

• Industrial Network Architecture: Design, deploy, and maintain robust, high-availability networks (LAN/WAN, wireless mesh, LTE/5G, satellite).
• Server & Storage Management: Manage on-premises edge computing, virtualization, and cloud-integrated storage.
• IT/OT Integration: Support hardware and network infrastructure powering SCADA, PLC networks, and fleet management.
• Field Deployment & Commissioning: Travel to active mine sites to install, configure, and troubleshoot infrastructure hardware.
• Disaster Recovery & Redundancy: Implement backup, failover, and DR protocols for 24/7 continuity.
• Cybersecurity Hardening: Apply cybersecurity measures to edge infrastructure and ICS per NIST/IEC 62443.
