Job summary

Centerra Gold's Goldfield District Project in Nevada is seeking a Specialist, IT to join the team. The role reports to the Director, Cloud Integration & Azure Applications and is responsible for administering GEM Enterprise IT systems and services, including hardware/software updates and user support.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in IT/CS, 3+ years' experience, strong communication, and hands-on IT skills in virtualization, networks, security, and M365. Mining experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or information technology related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a similar IT role.
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain Hyper-V/VMware/Nutanix and Windows Server infrastructure.
• Manage network infrastructure including firewalls, switches and wireless access points.
• Provide end-user IT support at the mine site and manage on/offboarding.
• Install, configure and maintain end-user hardware and peripherals.
• Collaborate with Global Infra and Cyber Security teams to ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain backup systems and ensure data integrity.
• Document network diagrams, configurations, assets and knowledge articles.
• Respond to security alerts from monitoring dashboards and SIEM.
