Job summary

DRA Global Limited in Phoenix seeks a Designer to translate engineering requirements into accurate, fit-for-purpose drawings, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a related field is required.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in an engineering or design office.
• Experience in the mining, EPCM, or industrial project sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret flow diagrams, design packs, and conceptual designs to prepare engineering drawings.
• Modify and update drawings to suit client, engineer, and internal team requirements.
• Manage drawing integration and interface with multi-discipline design teams.
• Apply working knowledge of Autodesk software (including 3D) and VAULT workflows.
• Adhere to drawing office standards and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of safety in design and applicable design codes and standards.
• Deliver drawings within project schedules and allocated man-hour budgets.
• Ensure high-quality, self-checked deliverables with minimal errors.
• Follow internal QA/QC and document control procedures, including use of BIM-DOCS for coordination.
• Interpret and action direction from Design Office Leads.
• Escalate issues or design changes proactively.
• Maintain clear handover and communication across disciplines.
• Work respectfully and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Take ownership of deliverables with a proactive, results-driven approach.
