Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an HS&E Advisor to lead health and safety at mining project sites in Northern Nevada or Central Idaho. You will advise operations teams and clients on HS&E matters, applying safety management systems with MSHA/30 CFR guidelines.

You will conduct hazard assessments, lead incident investigations, provide site orientation and training to crews and subcontractors, and monitor corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance and continual safety improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in the mining industry as an HS&E professional.
• In-depth understanding of MSHA regulations and 30 CFR.
• MSHA instructor card (Blue Card) and OH&S education are assets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and ability to influence stakeholders across project levels.

Responsibilities

• Hazard assessments, inspections, and audits; report findings and verify corrective actions.
• HS&E process guidance to operations management and clients.
• Data collection and reporting of safety performance; recommend improvements.
• Incident management including investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Injury/illness management and return-to-work monitoring.
• Site orientation and training for employees and subcontractors.
