Job summary

Sanbar-Sand-Management-LLC in West Texas is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair the plant's machinery critical to production. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment reliability and safety on a rotating schedule.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in heavy equipment or sand mining, strong AC electrical and mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with reading manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in the sand mining or heavy equipment industry
• Strong knowledge of AC electrical systems and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment including front end loaders, conveyors, pumps, electrical, and other plant machinery.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement timely repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and inspection reports.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with operations personnel to minimize downtime and optimize production.
• Help manage parts inventory as needed for maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
