Job summary

The Mining Field Technician is responsible for independent diagnosis, failure analysis, and repair of Caterpillar mining equipment to the customer's satisfaction in the field, shop, or customer's location. Duties include removing, repairing, assembling, installing according to manufacturer specifications and technician appropriate skillset.

Depending on the assigned field truck GVW, a DOT Med Card or Class A CDL is required.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in diesel technology preferred.
• Minimum of three years of Caterpillar mining or similar experience with hydraulic, engine and powertrain.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Med Card or Class A CDL may be required depending on field truck GVW.
• Ability to obtain MSHA certifications as required by customer site.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
