Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. seeks an experienced technician to troubleshoot, repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and allied machines in a shop environment.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and power-train issues using schematics and electronic tools, and clearly communicate findings to clients and management. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, preparing service reports, planning repair costs, and traveling to remote sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and English communication ability.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical/hydraulic systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports and plan repair costs.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment, following policies.
• Travel to remote locations as needed and assist training.
