Job summary

E.R. Jahna Industries is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical systems across mining operations including plants and dredges.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficiency, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or with teams in a demanding industrial setting. Extended hours, varying shifts, and occasional travel may be needed to meet operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years in industrial maintenance or mechanical repair preferred.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment.
• Welding, fabrication, and torch-cutting experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Promote and demonstrate SPQDC safety standards.
• Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and dredges.
• Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes, and complete timely repairs.
• Install, repair, replace, and modify mechanical components to support operations.
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication work using appropriate tools.
