Job summary

Stantec is seeking an intern to join the Mining Site Assessment and Remediation Team in our Denver, CO office. You will work with geologists, engineers, hydrogeologists, and environmental scientists on mine reclamation and environmental projects across North America, gaining hands-on consulting experience.

You will develop practical skills through technical analyses, field investigations, and preparation of project deliverables while collaborating with experienced professionals and clients.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college/university and/or on summer break between semesters.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or secondary degree in geology, environmental sciences, geological/geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Work with a multi‑disciplined geological, environmental, hydrogeological, and engineering team on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Participate in team meetings and project meetings.
• Assist project teams with data management, technical research, engineering calculations, environmental and geotechnical analyses, and preparation of technical reports, figures, and project documentation.
• Support coordination with testing laboratories and contribute to technical papers and training events.
• Potentially participate in field investigations and site visits under mentorship.
