Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a motivated Quarry Mining Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to aggregate mining operations and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic production environment.

The selected candidate will gain practical experience supporting quarry operations, process improvements, mine planning, and operational efficiency initiatives at an active quarry site with outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in mining, aggregates, heavy industrial operations, or construction materials.
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound recommendations.
• Effective verbal and written communication with cross-team collaboration.
• Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to work in office and field environments.
• Primarily based at an active quarry operation with outdoor conditions and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarry planning, mine design, and production analysis.
• Support operational improvement projects focused on safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret production, equipment, and operational data.
• Participate in field inspections and collaborate with quarry personnel on process optimization.
• Contribute to environmental, regulatory, and safety compliance initiatives.
