Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a motivated Quarry Mining Engineering Intern to join our team in the United States. This role provides hands-on experience supporting quarry operations, mine planning, process improvement initiatives, and operational excellence projects within a dynamic aggregates environment.

You will assist in planning and executing quarry mining operations, conduct field surveys, collect data, support mine planning and production monitoring, and prepare reports

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assist in the planning and execution of quarry mining operations.

Conduct field surveys and collect operational data for analysis and reporting.

Support mine planning, production monitoring, and project implementation activities.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify safety and efficiency improvements.

Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations related to operational performance.

Currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

What We Offer

Competitive hourly wage of $20.00 to $27.00 per hour
