Job summary

The Mosaic Company, headquartered in Florida, is seeking a Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern for Summer 2027. The role involves hands-on work at Fort Meade and Bradley facilities, with housing/relocation considered for qualified candidates. Expect 36–40 hours per week, in-person work, and a 9/80 schedule where applicable.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a B.S. in Mining Engineering, with a minimum 2.75 GPA, and prior internship/volunteer experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's in Mining Engineering, junior level or above by May 2027.
  • GPA 2.75 or higher.
  • Able to work in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
  • Previous internship or co‑op experience preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license; travel to sites.
  • Must be able to work full time while a student.
  • Must pass post-offer drug and alcohol screening, background check, etc.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical environment outdoors with varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Learn Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, and Mapping.
  • Communicate with management, engineers, operators, tradespersons, and contractors.
  • Participate in department meetings and project-specific meetings.
  • Adhere to Mosaics mission, principles and priorities.
