Job summary

The Mosaic Company in Florida is offering a Spring 2027 Mining Engineer Co-Op/Internship at Four Corners facility and Fort Meade facility. This in-person program runs January 11, 2027 to April 23, 2027, typically 36–40 hours per week with a 9/80 schedule if applicable.

Housing and relocation may be provided for qualified candidates. As a Co-Op/Intern, you will work on projects to improve mining conditions and economics, learn from professionals, and gain hands-on experience with a global leader

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's in Mining Engineering with junior level or higher by January 2027.
• GPA of 2.75 or higher is required.
• Able to function in an industrial chemical/mining environment.
• 1–2 years of volunteering/work with student groups is preferred.
• Previous internship/co-op experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for travel to sites.
• Must be able to work full-time while being a student.
• Likely post-offer pre-placement drug and background checks.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Teamwork experience is a must; industrial familiarity is a plus.
• Effective verbal communication is a plus.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Day to day work assignments could include:

• Assignments will involve learning all aspects of working at a site including Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Mapping and more.
• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
• Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What You’ll Need

• Junior level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Mining Engineering.
• 2.75 GPA or higher
• Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
• Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
• Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
• Basic computer skills are required
• Experience working in a team environment is a must
• Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
• Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
• Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
