Job summary

MS Companies Inc. is partnering with an established organization in the aggregate mining and construction materials industry to hire a Mining Engineer in Indianapolis, IN.

You will help develop and execute short- and long-term mine plans across a network of active quarry operations, with exposure to projects that shape production and resource utilization. The role covers the full mining lifecycle, including mine planning, stripping, mineral reserve evaluation, permitting, and field execution,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering required.
• 3+ years mining experience preferred, with exposure to mine planning.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Carlson or comparable mine-planning/design software.
• Knowledge of aggregate/quarry mining operations and MSHA environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support short- and long-term mine plans focused on safe, efficient resource use.
• Create mine and stripping/cut-fill plans to meet production needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, production, quality, project management, and safety teams across multiple quarry locations.
• Assist with mineral reserve evaluation and long-term land planning, including reclamation.
