Job summary

The Mosaic Company invites applications for a Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern—Spring 2027. You will be assigned to projects improving mining conditions and economics, gaining hands-on experience with a global leader while earning competitive pay.

Position is full-time, in-person, with a 9/80 schedule where applicable, based at Four Corners or South Fort Meade facilities in Florida. Housing and relocation support are provided for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's in Mining Engineering by January 2027.
• 2.75 GPA or higher.
• Ability to work in an industrial chemical/mining environment.
• 1–2 years of volunteering, student groups, or work preferred.
• Internship/co-op experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn mining site operations including Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Mapping.
• Communicate with management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
• Participate in department and project meetings.
• Adhere to Mosaic's mission and priorities.

Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Spring 2027

Where will you work:

Four Corners Facility at 11200 R 37 South. Bradley, FL and/or South Fort Meade Facility at 5880 Manley Road. Fort Meade, FL 33841. Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

Term

January 11th, 2027 to April 23th, 2027

Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week.

In person. 9/80 schedule if applicable.

What you'll do:

• Assignments will involve learning all aspects of working at a site including Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Mapping and more.
• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
• Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What you'll need:

• Junior level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Mining Engineering.
• 2.75 GPA or higher
• Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
• Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
• Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
• Basic computer skills are required
• Experience working in a team environment is a must
• Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
• Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
• Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
