Job summary

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering with a 2.75+ GPA, and have some related experience. In-person or remote work options with a 36-40 hour week are available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree by May 2027 in Chemical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering.
• 2.75 GPA or higher.
• Ability to work in an industrial chemical/mining environment.
• 1–2 years of related volunteer/work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot to identify root causes of problems.
• Trace pipes and equipment in the field to match drawings.
• Develop a process flow diagram for new opportunities.
• Perform mass and energy balances for chemical processes.
• Create computer models to support improvements.
• Assist with equipment inspections and Turnaround tasks.
• Communicate with multiple levels of staff and contractors.

Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2027

Where will you work: Four Corners site at 11200 R 37 South. Bradley, FL with regular traveling to other FL sites. Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

A Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assigned to special projects and will assist other engineers on major projects and process engineering. Projects will focus on improving facility efficiency and final product quality. Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshooting to identify root cause of problems
• Tracing of pipes and equipment in the field to correlate with the existing drawing
• Assisting with equipment efficiency tests and developing a process flow diagram for a new opportunity
• Mass and energy balances for various types of chemical processes
• Computer modeling
• Assist Turnaround and Repair Day equipment inspections as required
• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
• Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What You’ll Need

• Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and/or Mining Engineer.
• 2.75 GPA or higher
• Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
• Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
• Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
• Basic computer skills are required
• Experience working in a team environment is a must
• Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
• Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
• Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
