Job summary

Centerra Gold's Thompson Creek Mine in Idaho seeks a Superintendent, Continuous Improvement to collaborate with site leaders and improve safety, efficiency, and profitability using Lean and Six Sigma. You will drive cost reductions, shorten lead times, and deliver premier internal and external service.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will guide cross-functional teams, conduct time studies, develop cost-benefit analyses, and ensure sustainable process improvements across Mine, Maintenance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5–10 years of mining industry experience in similar roles.
• 5+ years in Continuous Improvement or a related position.
• Experience with budgeting and capital cost expectations.
• Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvement initiatives for Mine, Maintenance, Mill and Administration.
• Conduct time trials to improve line and cycle efficiencies.
• Prepare weekly to quarterly status reports on targets.
• Identify cost savings and build cost-benefit models.
• Implement systems and KPIs to monitor performance.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate with teams to diagnose problems and develop solutions.
• Review mining sequences and cycle times to identify improvements.
• Support alignment of site goals with overall business strategy.
• Perform root-cause analysis for operational challenges.
