Job summary

Centerra Gold Inc. is seeking a Superintendent, Continuous Improvement for the Thompson Creek Mine in Idaho.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead site-wide improvement initiatives to enhance safety, profitability, and customer service while reducing costs, inventories, and lead times through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. The role requires a Bachelor's in Process Engineering and 5–10 years mining experience, plus 5+ years in CI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of mining industry experience in similar roles.
• 5+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement.
• Experience with budgets and capital cost expectations.
• Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide improvement process across Mine, Maintenance, Mill and Admin to ensure sustainable results.
• Conduct time trials to improve line/cycle efficiencies.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports.
• Identify cost savings and develop cost-benefit models.
• Implement systems and measures to assess performance and progress.
• Familiarize with Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Support KPI data flow and share best practices across Thompson Creek Mine.
• Collaborate with departments to diagnose problems and design solutions.
• Review mining sequences and cycle times to find improvements.
• Assist GM and Operations Manager to align site goals with overall strategy.
• Conduct root cause analysis to address operational challenges.
