Job summary

Frontier-Kemper Const Inc in Evansville, IN is seeking an experienced electrician to provide electrical support and startup services for mining and civil construction projects. You will install conduit, pull wire, assemble and wire control panels, and troubleshoot electrical equipment, with some travel to project sites.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant apprenticeship or PLC training, electrical certifications, own basic tools, and at least 4 years of electrical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship or technical electrical degree, PLC training preferred.
• Electrical certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Own basic hand tools required.
• Minimum 4 years electrical experience in industrial or construction settings.
• Experience with AC/DC power systems (single and 3‑phase).
• Familiarity with PLCs and AC/DC drives is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC and mining regs CFR title 30.
• Ability to read electrical prints and drawings including schematics.
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with electrical testing equipment and a variety of hand/power tools.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Team player, able to collaborate across departments.
• Able to work underground, at heights, and travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Install and start-up electrical equipment and controls.
• Assemble and wire control panels.
• Rebuild and recondition electrical equipment and controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems on mining and construction equipment.
• Maintain records and follow safety policies.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Collaborate with project management and clients.
• Read and interpret electrical prints and schematics.
