The role emphasizes PLC/HMI development, vendor collaboration, and project management with travel to sites as needed. Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering are required or preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution is required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI development is preferred.
• Experience developing hoist control systems and programs is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated project management, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, and drive systems is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Serve as engineer on mid‑size and large projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with a team of engineers and designers.
• Design and implement control systems for electrically powered equipment, including hoists and vertical belts.
• Design job site power distribution for tunnel boring machines, belt systems, and hoists.
• Develop PLC programs and HMI applications.
• Commission hoists, vertical belts, and skip loading systems on mine and heavy civil construction sites.
• Travel intermittently to project and customer sites for system commissioning.
