Job summary

Silgan Closures seeks a Master Electrician in Evansville, IN to install, maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and automation. You will support power distribution, transformers, MCCs, and panels, while programming PLCs/SCADA/HMI and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Requires 3–5 years of manufacturing electrical maintenance, OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E training, and strong skills in PLC/VFD/SCADA/HMI, motor controls, and electrical drawings. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical trade program or apprenticeship or technical college with degree/certification.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification and NFPA 70E arc-flash safety training.
• Proficiency in PLC, VFD, SCADA, HMI, motor controls, motor sizing, wire sizing, circuit design, and conduit installation.
• Ability to plan, layout, inspect, and troubleshoot industrial power distribution, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and motor logic.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Support power distribution equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and electrical panels.
• Program and modify PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and related automation.
• Diagnose electrical/automation issues using schematics and diagnostics to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance and support capital projects.
