Job summary

SpecialtyCare is seeking a Minimally Invasive Clinical Specialist I to support laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures in the OR. This role involves preprocessing instruments, assisting surgical teams, and ensuring equipment readiness.

Training is structured, with paid, multi-stage programs and no direct patient care expected. Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma, flexibility for call rotations, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Healthcare experience or training preferred.
• Must live within 30 minutes of contracted hospitals.
• Must successfully complete a pre-hire medical aptitude test and on-the-job training including certification modules.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends/nights/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide logistical and technical support for laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries.
• Set up, troubleshoot and maintain all minimally invasive equipment, including video systems/viewing towers.
• Manage routine procedures including pre-operative setup and instrumentation knowledge.
• Understand functionality and connectivity of video components and troubleshooting principles.
• Assist physicians and clinical staff to ensure preferences are met; complete documentation.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and available; sterilize and decontaminate equipment after each case.
• Participate in shadow and/or tray call coverage as scheduled; adhere to policies and guidelines.
• Live the company's values and perform other duties as assigned.
