Summa Health in Akron, Ohio seeks a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon (MIGS) to join our employed physician group. The role focuses on pelvic medicine with a wide range of pelvic health conditions and does not include obstetrics.

You will join a multi-specialty group with strong subspecialty support. The position includes academic appointment possibilities at Northeast Ohio Medical University, a comprehensive benefits package, and a shift plan that supports OR time and clinic work.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology required.
• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery fellowship required.
• Unrestricted Ohio medical licensure or willingness to obtain.
• Active involvement in education of medical students, residents and fellows.
• Commitment to evidence-based, standardized patient-centered care in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries (MIGS).
• Care for pelvic health conditions including fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain and vulvar disease.
• Collaborate in a large employed physician group with 24/7 anesthesia, radiology and subspecialty support.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon

Summa Health - Akron, Ohio

Summa Health is seeking a MIGS Specialist to join our employed physician group. We are currently considering surgical applicants. The surgeon should also have an interest in pelvic medicine. Our practice includes all aspects of pelvic health including but not limited to pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, trigger point injections, and minimally invasive surgery. The position does not include obstetrics.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.
