Job summary

Summa Health – Akron, Ohio is seeking a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join our employed physician group. The MIGS specialist will build a pelvic medicine practice without obstetrics, joining a large multi-specialty team with strong imaging and anesthesia support.

The role includes 3 days in the office and aiming to build up to 2 days in the OR, with a flexible 0.80–1.0 FTE schedule. An academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University can be offered commensurate with

Qualifications

• Fellowship in MIGS is required or strongly preferred.
• Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology required.
• Unrestricted Ohio medical licensure or ability to obtain one.
• Active involvement in medical student, resident, and fellow education.

Responsibilities

• Perform minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.
• Contribute to pelvic health care, including treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, and pelvic pain.
• Engage in education of trainees and participate in clinical research if applicable.
• Collaborate with a large multi-specialty group and subspecialty teams for patient care.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon

Summa Health - Akron, Ohio

Summa Health is seeking a MIGS Specialist to join our employed physician group. We are currently considering surgical applicants. The surgeon should also have an interest in pelvic medicine. Our practice includes all aspects of pelvic health including but not limited to pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, trigger point injections, and minimally invasive surgery. The position does not include obstetrics.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship

• Unrestricted Ohio Licensure or willingness to obtain
