Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon (MIGS) to join our employed physician group. The role emphasizes pelvic health with services including pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy and less invasive surgery.

We offer an employed position with competitive compensation, incentives such as signing bonus, relocation and CME allowance, and a flexible schedule (0.80–1.0 FTE).

Qualifications

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) required.
• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) Fellowship required.
• Unrestricted Ohio licensure or ability to obtain licensure.
• Active involvement in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered, team-based care.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead MIGS procedures as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to pelvic health services including pelvic pain, fibroids and endometriosis care.
• Engage in resident/fellow education and academic activities.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, radiology and subspecialty colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon

Summa Health is seeking a MIGS Specialist to join our employed physician group. We are currently considering surgical applicants. The surgeon should also have an interest in pelvic medicine. Our practice includes all aspects of pelvic health including but not limited to pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, trigger point injections, and minimally invasive surgery. The position does not include obstetrics.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.
