Job summary

Blue Moon Metals is seeking a Security Supervisor at the Springer Tungsten Mine in Imlay, Nevada. This role oversees daily security operations, leads the security team, and protects employees, contractors, visitors, assets and facilities.

You will coordinate access control, patrols, emergency response, incident reporting, and contractor security activities, reporting to Health, Safety & Security leadership while promoting professionalism and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred.
• Three to five years of security, law enforcement, military, industrial security, or related experience, including supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting mining, construction, industrial, or remote operations preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required state security licenses or certifications.
• Ability to pass pre-employment requirements, including background checks, physical exam, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and provide daily direction to the site security team.
• Ensure security coverage across all shifts and operations.
• Oversee site access control, visitor management, and contractor entry procedures; ensure guests meet safety requirements.
• Conduct routine patrols and inspections to identify security or safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies, security incidents, and workplace disturbances; coordinate with emergency responders and law enforcement.
• In emergencies, coordinate the incident command center with the Emergency Mine Response Team (ERT).
• Investigate security incidents, prepare reports, and maintain security records.
• Monitor security personnel performance and provide coaching, training, and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and business continuity planning.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety and other departments to promote a safe, secure workplace.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen security programs and enhance site security awareness.
