Nevada Gold Mines seeks a Safety and Health Specialist at Turquoise Ridge Operations in Winnemucca, NV. You will act as technical advisor to site management, develop strategies to control immediate risks, and lead incident investigations to root cause using ICAM or 5 Whys.

Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, maintaining plans and data, mentoring staff, delivering MSHA-related training, and promoting a proactive safety culture across divisions. Equal opportunity employer.

Formación

• Associates degree with six years of industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Safety Degree with three years experience preferred.
• Experience in at least 2 mining divisions (one year per division) preferred.
• 5-10 years industry experience with leadership in safety preferred.
• Proven communication skills with all levels of the organization required.
• Proven ability to drive results and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a technical advisor to site management and develop strategies to control immediate workplace risks.
• Participate in internal safety inspections and audits and address corrective actions.
• Maintain a weekly to monthly overview plan for S&H functions.
• Lead incident investigations using ICAM or 5 Whys to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Provide mentorship to employees and support Office/MSHA training and meetings.
