Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Mine Engineering professional to supervise surveying, mapping, and geologic data collection while supporting QA for kiln feed. The role includes ground control monitoring, plan development, and leadership of interns and contractors.

You will coordinate with mine supervisors, geologists, and QA to ensure safety, accuracy, and adherence to MSHA standards, while driving project execution and technical support across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in geology, mining, or related engineering/technical degree.
• Must have 2–4 years of progressive technical responsibility in surface mining; leadership is a plus.
• BS/MS in Mining Engineering or Geology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate survey control and oversee alignment checks, using existing resources.
• Update and publish mine maps on a routine basis.
• Provide 3D locations of mine workings and infrastructure for accurate mining activity.
• Develop STMP/MTMP LTMP aligned mine plans and weekly to annual storage plans.
