Job summary

Intrepid Potash, Inc. in Carlsbad, NM seeks an underground mine equipment operator. You will run miners, roof bolters, dozers, and shuttle cars to produce ore safely while maintaining equipment and supporting production.

4 12-Hour Shifts: 4 days on, 3 days off.Shift is 7am to 7pm, then rotates to 7pm to 7am.

Pay Range – 25.00-45.00/hr

How You Will Create Value:

• Operate underground mine equipment, including miners, roof bolters, dozers, and shuttle cars, to produce ore safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality, identify operating issues, and make appropriate adjustments or communicate repair needs.
• Complete production support tasks such as changing miner bits, moving power cables, and hand-shoveling conveyor belt tail sections.
• Complete pre-shift inspections, preventive maintenance, equipment cleanup, and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

What You Will Need to Be Successful in the Role:

• Ability to work safely and effectively in an underground environment, including areas that may be dimly lit, have low clearances, and include exposure to vehicles, machinery, and other loud noises.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, teamwork and maintaining a positive productive work environment.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds, perform strenuous physical activity, and wear required safety attire and PPE at all times.
• High school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license.
