Job summary

Teck Resources Limited invites a Mine Engineering Intern to support the Senior Mine Engineer at Red Dog Mine, Alaska. The role covers mine assignments, drilling and blasting processes, and short-range planning on-site under a 4x2 rotation with on-site accommodations.

Applicants must be enrolled in a BS in Mining or related fields; proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; willingness to work outdoors in challenging conditions; and a desire to contribute to safe, efficient mine operations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in BS in Mining/Mineral Resource Engineering preferred.
• Background in Geotechnical, Geological or Civil Engineering considered.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Excel.
• Experience with mine planning software is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Mine Engineer with mine assignments and projects.
• Assist in drilling, blasting, and surveying activities.
• Contribute to daily to monthly mine planning and design work.
• Monitor analyses of operating areas and assist with permits and reports.
• Foster safe work practices and environmental compliance.
