Job summary

St. Francis Children’s Center is seeking an In House Pool Classroom Assistant to supervise and support a group of children in Milwaukee, WI.

You will partner with the lead teacher to implement the daily program, maintain a safe environment, and help with meals, transitions, and activities. The role requires a high school diploma, relevant state certifications, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Wisconsin state certified Early Childhood I and II; CDA or an Associate degree preferred.
• Wisconsin Infant and Toddlers certification required for work with children under two.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Function as primary caregiver for a group of children.
• Assist teacher with curriculum planning and daily program implementation.
• Decorate the room and bulletin boards; serve meals and snacks.
• Assist in supervising field trips and volunteers.
• Attend on-site in-services and complete annual continuing education.
• Follow center policies and state regulations and accreditation standards.
• Report suspected child abuse or neglect.
• Other duties as assigned.
