Job summary

Milwaukee Burger Company in Appleton is hiring a Kitchen Manager/Chef to lead a fast-paced scratch kitchen and build a strong team of cooks and support staff.

You will drive food quality, labor and cost control, and ensure excellent guest experiences while managing daily operations and staff development in a vibrant Wisconsin dining concept.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Passion for scratch cooking, quality, and guest satisfaction.
• Experience managing labor, food costs, inventory, and scheduling.
• Ability to recruit, train, mentor, and retain top talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily kitchen operations with a focus on food quality, safety, and consistency.
• Coach, train, schedule, and develop Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers.
• Lead by example by working alongside your team during service.
• Maintain food, labor, and operating costs while achieving financial goals.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and product rotation.
• Ensure recipe execution, portion control, presentation, and ticket times.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and health department standards.
• Build a positive, accountable culture centered around teamwork and growth.
