Anchor Hocking, LLC. is seeking a skilled technician to install, inspect, repair, PM and maintain mechanical equipment across the plant floor.

You will work with welding processes, troubleshoot air and water systems, and ensure safe operation in confined spaces and at heights. Responsibilities include dismantling, moving and re-installing equipment, repairing conveyors and sheet metal work, and following blueprints, drawings, and plant procedures to maintain production efficiency and safety

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT

Welding and cutting torches, packaging equipment such as tape machines, batch elevators, batch delivery conveyors vibratory feeders batch minor ingredient, transporter system, batch bins, batch mixers, batch wet screws, batch scales hot end conveyors, pick and place devices, glue machines, lehrs, hoists, dust collectors interceptors, blowers, frit feeders, tanks, ducts, cullet crushers and similar or equivalent equipment. Cullet system components, melter steel, catwalks, ladders, cullet hoppers, water boxes, batch chargers. Man lifts, MIG. TIG, Spray Caste and ARC welding, Plasma Cutters.

GAUGES AND TOOLS

Miscellaneous large and small power tools and equipment. Must have own tools as specified by foreman.

PRODUCTS OR MATERIALS

All materials associated with the repair and maintenance of plant equipment and similar or equivalent products and materials.

WORK GUIDES AND INSTRUCTIONS

General verbal and occasional written instructions. Operate from blueprints and drawings.

QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

Perform work of satisfactory quality and quantity in accordance with plant operating procedures. Maintain overall quality awareness.

WORK DESCRIPTION

Install, inspect, repair, PM and maintain all mechanical equipment except forming machines. Working knowledge of Fire Suppression system, troubleshooting and repair Dismantle, move and re-install equipment or machinery. Working knowledge of Compressed Air system, troubleshooting and repair Work in areas involving heights, small work areas, confined space, use fall protection, respirator, gloves, face shield, and other PPE. Rig all types of equipment including batch elevator belts, structural steel, motors, pumps, fans to meet structural standards Lehr work including end roller swap/repair, drive roller swap/repair, Lehr chain repair/replace. Required to do complex welding in all types of formats and situations, type of welding rod, type of gas and ventilation. Know correct welding technique that fits the situation and material being used, do work to code. Occasionally required to drain glass from tanks, feeder drain or perform plumber work. Determine tools, equipment and materials required to each project. Have good understanding of reasoning behind different water systems, be able to make repairs and maintain production using correct backup systems, soft water, well water, city water, cullet water, throat, cooling towers all respective pumping systems along with emergency backup systems, and their proper usages. Build, install, repair & maintain all sheet metal work, including the construction of guards, patterns, duct work. Repair / Install Robot tooling, cullet conveyors, single line conveyors, unscramblers. Understand proper sizing and specifications for bearings, sleeves, keyways, pulleys. Working knowledge of Cracked Gas, Heating Gas, Process Gas process steam, Reactor firing. Gas dryers, gas filters, heat exchangers, instrumentation, gas pressure and usage point evaluation, run piping, black iron, stainless, PVC, copper.
